Born and raised in Silicon Valley, David Geilhufe focuses on the intersection of technology and social change. His diverse background includes founding nonprofits and for-profits, building the operations of CSR programs and private foundations, growing venture and private equity businesses serving nonprofit customers, and mentoring at-risk youth into high-tech employment.

With a strong background in nonprofit capacity building and impact measurement, David has dedicated his career to helping organizations maximize their effectiveness and achieve their missions.

As someone passionate about making a positive impact, I'm fortunate to be able to do that as the Program Officer for Safety Net Grants at The Boston Foundation. Since 2021, I've helped give over $6 million to nonprofits serving marginalized communities and vulnerable residents in Greater Boston. Co-chairing the Boston Chapter of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy, I empower up-and-coming leaders to build a more just, equitable world. Previously, I worked at various sports nonprofits, where I honed my skills in fundraising, events, and program management. I serve on the board of Thrive Philanthropy, a global grantmaking organization that advances food justice by connecting impact-driven donors with advocates working to build sustainable food systems. My alma maters are Ithaca College and the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

From philanthropy and social impact to tech-driven enterprise solutions, I thrive on helping organizations leverage technology to streamline operations, scale impact, and make data-driven decisions

As a Sales Manager at Resilia, I help funders and nonprofits move beyond traditional grantmaking to track impact, build capacity, and support grantees at scale. Resilia’s technology provides real-time impact tracking, capacity-building resources, and data-driven insights that enable grantmakers to amplify the effectiveness of their funding.
